Welcome back to Term 4. I hope that everyone had a relaxing holiday and had the chance to spend some quality time together as a family.
We will be having another busy time this term. Please note the following important dates this term:
Tuesday 23 October - Excursion to the Maritime Museum
Thursday 25 October - A musical performance by Musica Viva - Da Vinci's Apprentice
Tuesday 30 October - Excursion to Sculpture by the Sea
Friday 23 November - Mufti Day and Christmas Carols and Carnival
Thursday 6 December - Transition Morning
Tuesday 11 December - Presentation Day (Term 4 concludes at 11am)
Here is a brief description about our upcoming musical performance by Musica Viva.
In Week 2 of this term we are looking forward to a Musica Viva incursion
called Da Vinci’s Apprentice – the story
of a young girl Roberta 'taking flight' to become the inventor she knows she is
capable of being. She battles against the odds, and in doing so invents
flight. The show is set in the time of Da
Vinci, and musical instruments and historical themes of the era are used to
tell the story. The show fits in nicely with the STEAM focus at Bayview and picks up on
some of the dispositions of our L@SL Framework. String instruments are also
showcased in the concert.
Please stay tuned for some photos of our activities in the classroom!
Kind regards
Michelle Brixen
