Welcome back to Term 3. I hope that everyone had a restful holiday and some quality time with family.
We have an exciting term ahead of us with a debating competition with the Dee Why Campus. We had our first debating workshop today with some exciting events that took place.
We've been looking at persuasive writing this week in preparation for the debating workshop. Here we are categorising different language features found in persuasive texts.
There will be a whole school public speaking competition this term. Student's will be given the time to prepare their speeches in class during week 5. Students will take home their draft speech on Friday 24 August for students to then amend and prepare. Class rounds of the public speaking competition will take place in Week 7. Students are to ensure that their speech is well prepared for the Monday of this week. Final rounds will take place on Friday 14 September.
We will be having our Year 4 Crusader Camp on Wednesday 26 September to Friday 28 September. More information regarding this camp will be sent home at a later date.
