Term 2 Week 2 Learning Activities

Dear Parents,

Here are some highlights of our learning in Week 2. I apologise this is a little late. Thank you to all the parents who came out to our Open Day last week. It was great to see the students enthusiastic to share their learning with you.

Here are some pictures of the class dramatising one of their favourite scenes from our class novel 'Holes' and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.

Here they are creating a fractions wall in Maths.

Our Learning at St Lukes Disposition focus for this week is 'perseverance'. Here they are demonstrating how well they can persevere. I had 2 challenges up on stage at assembly. Harrison and Annie had the challenge of reshaping the blue tac to make it float on water. After several attempts and failures, they finally made it float!

Lilly, Harper P, Dexter and Arne had the challenge of changing pure cream into butter before the toast popped out of the toaster. They didn't think it was possible but they all managed to shake their bottles to turn their liquid into a solid just in time!

I hope all mothers had a fantastic Mother's Day on Sunday!

Kind regards,
Michelle Brixen
